Non insured rent king truck

Last year I was struck by a rent king truck. 5 months later find out the rent king truck had no insurance.... so now I have a messed up back and medical bills I'm getting bombarded with, an now it's hurting my credit score. CAUSE IT WAS NOT MY FAULT!!

Just want to say I thought that when I rented from Rent King that I wouldn't be dealing with the FBI...... I 'm saying this sarcastically ! I would pay they would hound me even when my payment had already been made. I requested that one of there employees not come to my house but they still sent him over. Called corporate to report employee never received a call back. I went else were with my money and business. Over priced scam. I don't even know what to say about the company when corporate doesn't return phone calls. I think I payed off my couch I had three times already. I would not go to the Temple Terrace location. I would not ever rent furniture again .

My 1st purchase from Rent King was a laptop in 2016. They weren't hagglers when I would miss a payment. I honestly only missed payments because I didn't have them on automatic billing or have any reminders set. The laptop screen would glitch when you adjust it and the port for headphones did not work. I returned it to them so that they could repair it. When they called me to tell me my laptop was ready, I picked it up and paid it off. They couldn't fix the headphones port so they gave me some sort of adapter to use instead. Needless to say the adapter didn't work and the screen is still glitching and it's a year later since paying it off. That should've been my sign to not go back, but I like the staff and I loved that they weren't hagglers. I figured I'd give them another shot. Fast forward, 6 months and I get a house. I wind up getting a package deal living room, dining room & bedroom set. I also added a washer & dryer. The deliver guys arrive, they set up, they're polite and kind like the rest of the staff I've encountered and they leave. Within less than a week I discover the couch has termites and bedbugs, only because I was bit by a bedbug. Me being instantly paranoid I begin to spray the couch down in alcohol and peroxide and low and behold the peroxide foams up over all the stains I didn't even see with my naked eye. I don't even want to know what bodily fluids or germs we were sitting and laying on in that time-frame. They come out quickly to inspect and remove the furniture. They sent someone to inspect and treat the house to make sure the bedbugs hadn't started to migrate; and to be check the other furniture that was delivered. 2 weeks later I have a new couch, literally fresh out the plastic. They compensated me by not having me pay for the furniture, while I didn't have the furniture. There wasn't really any other compensation for things. Fast forward another 2 months and my father passes away, a week after the funeral I'm in the hospital for a week, and 2 days after discharge we're hit with Irma. Needless to say my finances were shot to *** and I couldn't afford to make my payments. The store manager text me and completely understood EVERYTHING. He told me to call them when things were looking better and he'd help me figure out how to get caught up. Again with the no haggling. I got caught up and back on schedule with no worries or issues. If I could get a better laptop than the one I actually have, I didn't have the bug nightmare, and I can be completely sure that the mattress I have zipped away in it's protective covering is new and not used, Rent King would have a 100% satisfaction rating from me. If it weren't for their customer service, compassion and understanding I wouldn't continue being a loyal customer at all. So, good luck! It can LITERALLY be hit or miss with them. My suggestions for future customers, request ALL new appliances and furniture, NOTHING from the store floor. Test ALL electronics before leasing or paying them off. And, I mean a GOOD test run of EVERYTHING you would do on it once it's yours. Make sure your paper work states NEW and not USED before signing your contract. I get it, you want instant gratification and don't want to wait for shipping blah blah blah. Trust me, it's worth the wait!

My son rented to own a small flat screen TV in 2015. He has been paying on it now for well over two years. Every time he asks for a balance he is told only "Jose" can give out that information. Yet when he or I call this store no Jose. They refuse to give any balance. Now they have just called to say they are going to take my son to court for grand theft of the TV because they say he owes $90.00! This is fraud complete fraud and I'm calling my attorney in the morning!

Me and my husband got behind on payments and john store manager in pinellas park was the nicest person to work with. To this day he still works with us on a weekly basis. IGNORANT!!!

i purchased/rented a dryer from the largo location around mid February. it was something around 450$. ive made 3 $100 payments along with a few 40$-50$ payments as well. they have constantly called me asking for payments when im well over what is due. i was just informed by my mother who lives with us that they showed up at our house today asking for 60$. my mom not knowing the situation gave them the money. HOW ARE YOU GOING TO SHOW UP AT MY HOUSE OVER 60$ ?!?!?!? let alone it being an incorrect thing!!!!!!! you have now embarrassed me to my mother who now thinks i don't pay my bills. also on a side note i have made several transactions with this company. THANK YOU!!!! NOT!!! SINCERELY A PREVIOUSLY LOYAL CUSTOMER.

I called in to ask how much I owe on my bill. The Store Manager Jason.

2726 N. Nebraska Ave Tampa Fl 33602. Was very rude to me. He said before I tell you that when are you coming in to make your next payment and I owe $945.00 more on a complete living room set with Tv.

He refuse to still tell me after I repeatedly ask him then he finally told me when I gave him a date. But I have the merchandise for 2yrs and I was 1month behind. He then threaten me to come pick up the merchandise. Thats crazy how you can almost be close to paying something off and they want to tell you some cramp like that.

They moto is to HELP YOU OUT And TREAT YOU RIGHT. If I know if someone was almost close to paying something off you would try to help them out to pay it off.

Not talk to them to keep gaining there business and bring friends. I guess ROSS HACKET higher the right person to push people out the door.

We bought a Ashley couch and reclining love seat fromRent King and within 6 months it started to rip. The love seats rios where your elbow sits on it and the couch is the same way. We were told this wss leather and new. It was neither. We paidnit off early and asked to be pit in touch the person whonpatches their furniture and we would pay out of pocket to have it fixed. Never heard a word. I have mentioned the problemnto the store several time and they act like they don't give a ***. Blamed it onnwhatbwe were using to clean it.

Bought a mattress from the one in largo and they delivered it to the house in no plastic. And now that it has been in my house now for 2 months my house Is infested with bed bugs. They are doing nothing to help out. They can't give me a straight answer. And they sold me the floor model. I told the manager it was and she denies it. I told her cameras don't lie. I have a 3 and 4 year old and their beds had to be thrown away too. Our pillows and everything. I would never suggest anyone ever buying anything from them. Horrible company.

The location on Bearrs and 22nd St in Tampa... has one racist employee name James and now the new manager is just as rude, she hung up the phone on me while I was telling her about my previous experience. SMH. I really should sue this company, and I seriously may do so. The accounts are bogus as well... I will pay off the one item I have with the company and never ever do business with this firm again... In fact, I have recommended customers to the company in the past; however, I will never recommend anyone to go to this company. I have worked with other companies that rent furniture and I have never had any experience like the ones I have had while working with rent king on Bearrs! The doors to this store should be closed permanently, and the current manager and employee James should never be allowed to work with customers, in any business. I am livid! **THIS IS A very brief Summary of ALL the horrific things I have endured from employees at this location!***

James has been promoted to a regional manager, largely in part, due to his highly effective interactions with customers and promoting a sense of pride within the last store he worked. In other news, the young lady who now manages James's former store is quickly stepping up as a customer service superstar.

A majority of customer complaint issues are being handled by her and her crack-team of field recovery agents by simply firing the customers and collecting the merchandise back for the store to refurbish and rent. Great job people and keep up the good work that you are doing!
